Bill’s love of aviation came from a long line of aviators from as early as World War I. He started out building models with his brother. He was exposed to many true aviators including Ross Diehl, Jim Nunn, Al Redick, and Ed Maloney. They and many more formed him into the pilot he is today. He worked at Aerosport in Chino, CA under Jerry Morrison. From that point, he earned his private pilot’s license and began flying the T-6. Gaining time and experience in the T-6 allowed him to receive his commercial pilot’s license. His first paying job as a pilot was flying skydivers in Lake Elsinore, CA. Bill was next employed as a mechanic and co-pilot flying fire fighting aerial tankers. He presently owns ATW Aviation Inc, a Warbird restoration and maintenance company located in Marana, Arizona.
